SPRING AT SPOHR

Come one, come all as we celebrate Spring at Spohr!

The azaleas are generally in full bloom and the gardens become a sea of pink.

We encourage families to come and we have many activities for children. One of the favorites is our wishing tree where people-children and adults—write a wish on an index card and throw it up into a holly tree. Legend has it that the wind will catch the words and your wish will come true.

The Butterfly Garden is just coming to life also. Tours of the garden are given.

This celebration has taken the place of Daffodil Days which used to be held in April. Unfortunately, the daffodils that covered the main hillside have died of old age. We are working to replant squares of the same daffodil cultivars that were planted on the hillside throughout the gardens where the growing conditions are appropriate.
